At Sheepadoodle Acres, located in Northeast Ohio, our goal is to breed the healthiest, most well adjusted puppies as possible and to match them with families that are the best fit for a lifetime of love and companionship. We take our responsibilities very seriously and strive to ensure the health, safety and well-being of all our pets. That’s why the happiest days for us are when one of our animals is adopted by a loving and welcoming family that has completed our application process.

Our parents are thoroughly health tested, including hips, elbows, eyes and cardiac all certified good/normal by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. We complete genetic testing to ensure against hereditary diseases that each breed is prone to. Our puppies are raised in our home following the Puppy Culture protocols of early neurological stimulation, socialization to people of all age groups, other dogs, cats, household and outdoor noises, grooming, crate training, potty training and clicker training. We do not dock tails and we will not ship puppies in cargo. Puppies are vet checked and come with first shots, deworming and a one year genetic health guarantee, along with our ongoing support for the lifetime of your puppy. Our History

Smuckers and O'Malley

I've had dogs in my family for over 55 years now. My first dog was a black miniature French Poodle named Aimee that we got for Christmas when I was 5 years old. She was my friend for 18 years! When I was 16 I got my first dog that I chose and bought myself, Casey Jones, the Old English Sheepdog. Both of these breeds were chosen, in part, due to my sister's animal allergies as they are hypoallergenic (poodles more so than sheepdogs). Casey was my best friend for 14 years and went through many ups and downs by my side. I bred her one time and she had a litter of 5 OES pups. It was a great experience! Through the years we have had 1 other OES, Phoebe, who also had purebred pups, 1 of which we kept, Faith; also, 5 rescue dogs and 2 Labrador Retrievers. While on a trip to Southern California in 2013, I spotted a dog on a restaurant patio that looked like a sheepdog only it had a tail and was black and white, full grown. Sheepdogs start out black and white but the black turns gray as they mature. The breed standard calls for docking their tails when they are 1-3 days old. I felt compelled to cross the street and inquire about this beautiful and intriguing dog. The owner, who was almost as friendly as his dog, told me that it was a sheepadoodle! A mix between a Poodle and an Old English Sheepdog!! My two first loves!!! In one!!! Genius! Both breeds are highly intelligent, fast learners, excellent with children, loving and loyal, and low-shed to no-shed! I've been obsessed ever since! I immediately began researching and looking for breeders near me, but in the back of my head I had the idea of breeding them myself. I met a breeder, Sheryl of Sweet Sheepadoodles, who encouraged me greatly. I have several family members (kids and grands) who have allergy issues but are animal lovers. I wanted them all to have one! So I modified my search and began looking for OES breeders. My kids were excited about the idea also and we got on a waiting list for 2 female sheepdogs with the special request that they be allowed to keep their tails! Our first 2 girls were born in October 2014 and we brought them home just before Christmas. O'Malley lives with me and my hubby on the farm. O'Malley is also a certified therapy dog! Smuckers lives near Orrville in her suburban neighborhood with my son and his wife, a kitty, guinea pig and 3 rambunctious boys! She loves to walk around her block and socialize with her neighbors! They are frequent visitors to the farm! Smuckers was our first girl to have a litter of Sheepadoodles, using Sheryl’s poodle for a sire. She was an excellent mama and the boys were (still are!) such great puppy wranglers! With their super busy lifestyle, it was decided to retire Smuckers from breeding and she continues enjoy life with her family and come to the farm to visit and play whenever she can! We have since added Ryleigh, our sweet and goofy big OES, and have kept 2 of O’Malley’s girls, Finola (also a certified therapy dog), and Nova (my daughter’s family dog who came back to us when they moved overseas), and our beautiful blue eyed merle, Keagan, one of Ryleigh's babies. It has been so rewarding to help families to find their own loving, fluffy new additions!! Thanks for joining us on our journey!
